This organization is a federation
of Australian state and territory associations, serving
as a national authority and forum in the field of teacher-librarianship
and school library resource services.
Hong
Kong Teacher-Librarians Association
Membership includes teacher-librarians
working in Hong Kong secondary schools and other professionals
responsible for library and information services in schools.
International
Association of School Librarianship
The mission of this organization
is to "provide an international forum for people
interested in promoting effective school library media
programs as viable instruments in the educational process." The
Association publishes the quarterly IASL
Newsletter from which selected
full-text articles are available online. Also provided
is a page of links to School
Library Resources on the Internet.
International
Federation of Library Associations and Institutions
The mission of this organization
is to "provide librarians around the world with
a forum for exchanging ideas, promoting international
cooperation, research and development in all fields of
library activity." The organization includes a Section
of School Libraries and Resource Centers.
UK
Library Association
This organization has been the voice
of the UK library community for over 100 years. The School
Libraries Group is one of
many special interest groups within the Association.
